Risk, you either love it or hate it

We all see risk differently. And we are all comfortable at different points.  I meet this client in late 2019. A sole trader doing it all themselves. When I say all, I mean everything from being his own secretary to making the CEO’s decisions. There were big plans but I was afraid burnout was on his cards instead. After our first couple of meetings, I had a really good grasp on what he was wanting to achieve but it was an all-or-nothing plan and that was scary to him – understandably!

We worked with his business plan and we broke it down, first into larger pieces and then again and again, each time we broke it down he found new solutions that he had never seen before. He was gaining new insight and creating a whole new plan that still got him to his main goal but with the level of risk that was a lot more manageable and also without him burning out!

One of the last meetings I had this year was with him. As we sat there reflecting on all that he had achieved to date, he now has 5 staff members, a larger premises and offers all the services he had envisaged, he said “I cant believe I have come from there to hear and I can sit here while my business is still running and serving people the way I want it to”

The message here is, you can have grand plans and you can achieve them. Just break them down so we can manage the risk to a level that you are comfortable with.

If this sounds like you give me a call and I can help you succeed with you plans too!
